Ask my husband and he’ll confirm that I am not much for setting New Year’s Resolutions. I think one of the reasons is that one my favorite quotes is ““Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” (Benjamin Franklin) I usually take the approach, if I want something to change or be different I’ll start right away! We do though, as homeowners often think about what we want to get done around the house in the coming year. I do like New Year’s Resolutions for your Home. What are ours for this year? The top of our list includes:
- Update our Laundry Room (amazing how many hours you can spend in one with 2 little kids)
- New Carpets for the Bedrooms (it’s about time)
- New Kitchen Countertops (this one is usually somewhere on the list, but I’m thinking this might be the year :))
What’s on your list?
The 2011-2012 Cost Vs. Value Report can give you some good ideas on updates where you get your best return on investment. It’s fun to think about updates to your home. It could be simply moving some furniture around or a completely remodeled chef’s kitchen (let me know when you’re done with that one and I’ll be right over).
Have fun in your home this year and send me pictures of your projects. Always fun to see what people are up to. As we all know, “There’s No Place Like Home.”
