The housing stock in Lafayette is very diverse. There are homes near Old Town (early 19th century), several neighborhoods developed in the 1970s and 1980s, farm/ranch properties, newer developments in the last couple of years, and many options in between.

In 2012, 351 homes sold with an average price of $368,293. With what is available now we only have 4 months of inventory (less if you account for the fact that 50% of the current listings are under contract).
