The city of Boulder has a lot to offer. It’s a laid-back college town with big city business smarts.
About 100,000 residents work and play in this town set against the mountains. The iconic Flatirons, and the Indian Peaks Wilderness are a gorgeous backdrop. The University of Colorado @ Boulder has more than 30,000 students on its gorgeous campus (yes, as a CU graduate myself I might be a little biased).
There is a high concentration of companies in the aerospace, bioscience, data-storage and software industries. Workers are often seen rock climbing, running, biking or hiking on their lunch break. Entrepreneurs are drawn to the quality of life and support in this startup town.
Boulder’s historic downtown features the Pearl Street Mall (a pedestrian shopping, dining and entertainment destination). The city owns more than 45,000 acres of mountains and plains open space, with more than 200 hiking and biking trails.
