How do buyers and sellers find an agent…and what kind of help do they want?

Part of what makes real estate such a great profession is the daily variety in my business. Real estate is a people business and working with buyers and sellers is very satisfying. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) puts out their annual profile of home buyers and sellers and I thought I’d share some of the data. 40% of buyers and 38% of sellers find their Realtor through a friend, neighbor or relative (by referral). Isn’t that how a lot of us find companies in the customer service industry? It keeps things fun and interesting to work with referrals in my business. Taking care of my clients is a priority.

What do buyers want the most help with? Finding the right home. What do sellers want the most help with? Selling the home within a specific time frame.
