The community of Superior was one of the fastest growing communities in Boulder County in the 1990s, as the Rock Creek Ranch subdivision was built. The town’s population went from 250 in the early 1990s to more than 12,000 residents today!
Plans for the Superior Town Center (SE of the US 36/McCaslin interchange), a160-acre mixed-use urban area, have been in the works for more than 15 years . The two offers easy access to US 36 and is popular for commuter families who need to head both West and East on US 36. The Superior Marketplace features Costco, Super Target, Whole Foods, PetsSmart, and many other retailers and restaurants.
Superior has about 60 acres of open space, more than a handful of parks and 29 miles of trails.
